Group 1: Politics Your group has one of the main responsibilities concerning the success of your company within this contest. ‘Politics’ is a key topic and it’s developement presents the effort you put into your work and therefore the qualification of your team joining this contest.
Your challenge is to write an article about the political background of the President of the United States. In other words: What process has to passed before a new president is elected? What are the main duties and tasks the president has within the Unites States? And what are these concerning the whole world, e.g. foreign affairs?
Group 2: Priviledges and privacy Your group works on the pleasures and advantages life as the President of the United States implicates. This task requires detailled research and a well structured, sensible presenation of the results. Your team concentrates on the president’s home and it’s looks as well as on it’s functions. In addition to that a second focus is set on the president’s private airplane, the Air Force One.
Group 3: First Ladies The assignment of this group is to find out information about the First Ladies who accompanied their men during government. This is important as it shows your intention of exploring not only the presidents life itself but everything connected to him. What role does a First Lady play in a president’s private and political life? Is or was there a First Lady who attracted especially much attention?
Group 4: ‘Special cases’ Your group has to take a look back into the past. The task is to find presidents with a special history. Were there any presidents of the United States who caused special trouble? Or were there any presidents who were loved much more than other ones? And if so, why was that the case? Again this task shows your company’s intention of collecting as much information as possible. A useful way in order to win a contest! Head editor You are the leader of the teams and therefore in charge of the organisation of the work to do. You have to keep your team members going and you are the one who checks all the work before it gets ‘published’. Besides you work on your own article about the present situation concerning America’s candidates for the next presidential election. Of course nobody has to tell you where to get the information from, you have your own reliable resources!
